“I’m not a bad mom, I’m not a jerk, but at the end of the day it doesn’t go in their toy box, it goes in my room.”
The internet is such a powerful force! One day you are a stay at home mom making a video of a recent mask purchase from Kohls. The next day you are an overnight internet sensation.
That is exactly what happened to Candace Payne, a fellow Star Wars lover.
C Payne purchased a Chewy mask from her local Kohls and demonstrated it to viewers from inside her car in the parking lot. What came next is the biggest lesson that all of us can value: It truly is the simple things.
Some might find this video silly or annoying, but Candace captured a moment in her life when she was free, laughing and seemingly oblivious to anything negative around her. She took what was supposed to be a simple purchase of something she loved and brought it up to a whole ‘notha level!
I watched this video while waiting at a stoplight and I have to admit it wasn’t the greatest of days. The whole time I watched this person who looked so happy, I took a moment to take a look around me and admire all that I should be happy for.
Because of these few moments in time, Candace became certified on Facebook, visited the Facebook headquarters (she had never even been to San Francisco!) visit Lucas Films (I am dying as I write this!) and was presented with a plethora of gifts.
AND HER VIDEO TOPPED OVER 69 MILLION VIEWS!
All those things are great and C Payne is one lucky gal, but I think the biggest gift is the rewarding feeling you get when you make a positive impact in somebody’s life by doing something that comes simply from the heart.
Stay positive friends!
And…..(because I have to say it) MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!!
